Boise Police Investigate Child Sexual Abuse Material Case Linked to Church-Associated Man
The Boise Police Department, in coordination with the Boise School District, is conducting an investigation into the production of child sexual abuse material following a troubling case that has rocked the community. The investigation began after administrators at Valley View Elementary School discovered allegations involving a staff member and immediately contacted authorities.
The suspect, 22-year-old Gavin Snow, was a Special Education Assistant at the elementary school and reportedly had ties to a local church. Boise Police seized Snow’s electronic devices after making contact with him. A search warrant revealed evidence of child exploitation and the production of child sexual abuse material. The discovery has left the community grappling with shock and concern over the potential scope of Snow’s actions.
Tragically, when officers attempted to arrest Snow at a home on the 5100 block of N. Mountain View Drive early this morning, he injured himself and died from a self-inflicted wound. Boise Police confirmed no force was used during the attempted arrest.
Concerns About Additional Victims
Detectives believe there may be more victims based on the evidence found. The Boise Police Special Victims Unit is collaborating with the Boise School District to identify and support any additional victims. The investigation remains active, and community members with information about Gavin Snow are urged to call 208-377-6790.
